Instructions to Set Up a New Email Account

NOTE: When noted yourdomain.com, you would type in your domain name.

To Set Up a NEW Outlook or Outlook Express Account:

NOTE: There are many versions of Outlook and each one has different set up instructions, but the instructions below will give you what you need.

1. Click on "Tools" on the Menu bar at the top of your screen.
2. Select "Email Accounts" or "Accounts" or "Services"
3. Select POP3
4. Fill in your name and email address
5. The incoming POP3 server is mail.yourdomain.com.
6. The outgoing SMTP Server is mail.yourdomain.com.
   1. NOTE: Some ISP's require that you use them in this spot. That is also okay.
   2. If you have a laptop computer that travels, you will want to use mail.yourdomain.com.
7. An example of your username is jdoe@yourdomain.com, not just jdoe.
8. Fill in your password
9. Select the "Advanced Settings" button
10. Select the "Outgoing Server" tab and click in the "My server requires authentication" box.
11. Select "Next"
12. Select "Finish"

That's it....you're done.

Still Not Able to Get Mail:

• Some systems require different server port numbers. If you are still not able to get mail, go back into your account settings.
  • Select the Advanced button
  • Select the Advanced tab
  • Change the Outgoing SMTP server port number to 26.
  • OK and finish.
